To the right, downhill skiing is the sport "du jour". Here, on Mount Sima, with a dozen runs splayed over its 335-metre height, competitors vied for honours at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. Sima means "red ochre mountain" in the Southern Tutchone language. Mount Golden Horn at 1713 metres dominates the scene.

The Riverdale Bridge links Whitehorse's first suburb on the east side of the Yukon River to downtown Whitehorse.
